The Faculty of Social Sciences covers six disciplines:

The core of the research in communication science lies in the nature of media messages and their effect on receivers.
- Organization Sciences
The themes that are analyzed by our organization scientists are strategy, opportunities and culture in organizations.
- Social and Cultural Anthropology
Our anthropologists study human security in a globalizing world.
The themes in sociology research are ageing, social changes and conflicts, and social mobility and inequality.
- Philanthropic Studies
The Center for Philanthropic Studies analyzes philanthropy and volunteering in society and is part of the Sociology department.
